About Me

I am a Visiting Assistant Professor at Siena College with a PhD in Political Science from Syracuse University (2024) and I am on the academic job market. My areas of study are populism, democratic backsliding, and comparative institutions. My dissertation examined the sequencing of events in episodes of democratic backsliding, considering the impact of both institutional threat and public opinion.

I teach introductory and advances courses in both Comparative and American Politics, including Introduction to American Politics, Introduction to Comparative Politics, U.S. Populism, Politics of the European Union, Model European Union, and Identity and Politics.
